A Refreshing and Energized Education Conference

Having the chance to represent Eduspire at this year’s NJEA Convention in Atlantic City was more than just a new professional experience — it was a reminder of why educators do what we do. The energy was high, the conversations were meaningful, and the commitment to education, learning, equity, and justice could be felt in every hallway.

From the keynotes, the message was clear: Education is Both Courage and Care

  • Malala Yousafzai challenged us to keep fighting for access and equity, reminding everyone that education remains the most powerful tool for change.
  • Padma Lakshmi, Emmy-nominated host, producer, and advocate for immigrants’ and women’s rights, delivered an inspiring keynote that connected culture, belonging, and equity. When we honor every student’s story, learning happens.

Eduspire attends NJEA Conference - Education, EdTech, AI, Learning Technology

Learning Technology, Higher Ed, Anti-Bullying Initiatives, and Connections

Those messages echoed throughout the exhibit hall, where I met so many passionate educators, pre-service teachers, and even retirees — all eager to keep learning and feeling connected. Across from me, a gentleman ran an anti-bullying initiative for Sikh students. Around the hall, Prodigy and SchoolAI were sparking conversations about the next wave of learning technology in education. Several higher-ed organizations showcased new pathways for advanced degrees and lifelong growth.

Professional Growth is Directly Correlated to Personal Care

And, so awesome — The Health & Wellness Zone! Attendees recharged with chair massages, sound baths, and movement sessions. It was a reminder that taking care of ourselves is necessary for professional growth.

Conversations About AI: Teachers Are Ready to Innovate and Lead!

At the Eduspire booth, my “Ask Me About AI” sign invited educators to talk about how technology in education can empower teachers rather than overwhelm them. Those conversations — curious, hopeful, and grounded in real classroom realities — proved that teachers are ready to lead this next chapter of innovation with heart and integrity.

Anything is Possible in Education When Passion Meets Purpose

I left Atlantic City both recharged and re-inspired. The NJEA Convention wasn’t just about what’s new in education, it was about what’s possible when passion meets purpose, and when educators keep showing up for each other and their students.
